Free Kamau Sadiki
(Fred Hilton)
Awesome Dad. Career Postman. Original Black Panther Party member.
Kamau’s History
At the age of 16, Kamau dedicated his life to the service of the people. As an original member of the Black Panther Party, he worked out of the Jamaica, Queens office. Having internalized the 10 Point Program and Platform, Kamau worked in the Free Breakfast Program, getting up every morning, and going to his designated assignment to cook and feed hungry children before they went to school. When the Free Breakfast Program was over for the day, he went out into the community to sell his papers. While doing so he continued to educate the people, organize tenants and help mothers in need, and whomever he came in contact with.
Family & Friends
Kamau Sadiki is a loved and loving family man. He is a father and a grandfather. Kamau’s two daughters and grandchildren are devastated by the absence of their loving, hard-working father (he supported them by working for the telephone company in New York for over eighteen years), and are active in efforts to release him. Kamau has earned a good pension and wants to be home and care for his children and grandchildren.
Political Prisoner
Political Prisoners are people jailed on charges because of their resistance to oppression. They have also been targeted by the state for their political beliefs and/or actions. Ridiculous as it sounds, the U.S. government was threatened by the popularity of the Black Panther Party’s free breakfast and other social programs, and the FBI instituted COINTELPRO to try and stop these programs, put active BPP members in jail, and destroy the BPP.
Who is
Kamau Sadiki?
Kamau Sadiki is a Muslim, a loving father of two daughters and grandfather of five, and a veteran of the Black Panther Party.
Kamau joined the Black Panther Party at the age of 16 in Queens, NYC. He served his community for years before he was arrested on trumped-up charges in 2002.
Kamau, now 69 years old, is among many other incarcerated elders, who suffer from prison Medical neglect. Kamau suffers from sarcoidosis, untreated hepatitis C, malnutrition, and unhealed and infected ulcers on his legs. With no assigned physician, Kamau is forced to provide his own medical care and attempt to care for his own deteriorating health.
The International Campaign to Free Kamau Sadiki is launching political organizing and legal fundraising to help free Kamau!
Our campaign is addressing Kamau’s medical health concerns as well as the fact that the Augusta Medical Hospital Prison where he is currently incarcerated has not and cannot provide Kamau adequate medical care.

🗣There are Political Prisoners on US soil
We seek to free all people in U.S. prisons for their political beliefs or actions–as well as those like Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, and Assata Shakur who are in political exile.
History
Learn more about the Black Panther Party (BPP) of the 1960s and & ’70s.

The Black Panther Party was an organization that worked to improve the material conditions of Black people. Before food stamps, many poor families could not afford breakfast for their children. One of the BPP’s most popular programs was their free breakfast for children program. Chapters across the country provided this program. Always concerned for children, Kamau Sadiki was active in his BPP chapter’s Free Breakfast for Children program in Jamaica, Queens.

Before food stamps, many poor families could not afford to feed their families. People had rickets and all kinds of diseases resulting from malnutrition. The Black Panther Party helped by providing food for people in Black communities with their Free Food Program (the government was forced to adopt these programs, now known as WIC and food stamps).

Kamau Sadiki is my daddy and he has always been wonderful. He has been framed, like so many other original Black Panther Party members. Please help me free him.
K’sisay

The media, itself an arm of mega-corporate power, feeds the fear industry so that people are primed like pumps to support wars on the basis of rumor, innuendo, legends, and lies.
